What exactly is this event?
It’s an event to celebrate the deep rivalry within the Palmetto State by having current players from both Clemson & South Carolina football rosters compete against each other in a high-energy softball game held in a professional baseball stadium. Featuring in-game music, on-field emcee and countless of fan contests throughout the event — plus some special guest surprises — this will be a fun way to get ready for football season and cheer on your favorite side!
What players are participating?
Both teams will feature current football players from Clemson & South Carolina. The exact player rosters will be announced closer to the event date.
When is the event?
Saturday, July 18th, 2026! First pitch is at 7pm.
Where is the event?
The game will take place at Segra Park — home of Minor League Baseball’s Columbia Fireflies.

Why is the game in Columbia?
We wanted the event to be held in a professional baseball venue located in the state of South Carolina — and there are two such locations (Segra Park in Columbia and Fluor Field in Greenville). Based on year one feedback, we may seek to alternate between the two venues in future years (subject to cost, availability, etc.).
Who are the special guests?
This will be an action-packed event with numerous fun surprises planned for fans of both teams. Be sure to not miss it — buy your tickets today!
Can I get player autographs at the event?
While we cannot make any promises that all interested fans will be able to get a player autograph, we encourage young fans to bring a small item to be autographed just in case the opportunity arises!

What event concept is this based on?
This event concept is based on “Battle 4 Vegas” — a successful annual event featuring current Vegas Golden Knights professional hockey players “battling” it out on the softball field against current Las Vegas Raiders professional football players.
We believe this concept fits perfectly to now highlight the deep long-standing Palmetto State football rivalry!
